The Delta High School project consists of 3 phases of construction. The 1st involves an 11,600 sf (approx.) addition which will include a new Gym, Weight room and Corridor. Construction of the new addition is currently underway with an approx. completion date of August ’24.
Phase 2 of construction will involve an interior remodel of the existing school. Work is slated to begin in April ’24 and conclude in August ’24. This will involve the expansion of the existing wresting room into a portion of the existing weight room, as well as converting another portion of the weight room into new team meeting rooms. A remodel and updating of the Boys and Girls locker rooms will be included in this phase of construction as well.
Phase 3 will see the addition of a new 2,400 sf (approx.) Entry to the school, which will include a new reception area, offices and nurse station. This phase will also include updating the exterior site concrete with the addition of new sidewalks, curb and gutters and additional site elements. Construction on the new entry addition is scheduled to begin at the end of May ’24 and run through October ‘24
Structural foundations for this project include stemwall/footers, varying in height and thickness, reinforced with grade 60 rebar. The interior slabs on grade are reinforced with welded wire mesh. When completed the building foundations will contain more than 25,000lbs of reinforcing and over 500 cubic yards of concrete.
