This is the latest Maverik convenience store to be built in Western Colorado. Mays Concrete was responsible for construction of the building foundations as well as all site concrete improvements. The site concrete work required using over 750 CY of concrete and 14 tons of reinforcing steel to construct fuel bays, tank cover slabs, curbs, gutters and sidewalks. This project also required improvements and upgrades in two CDOT and one City roadways to improve pedestrian safety and traffic flow, and to allow safe access to the new site. The project start was delayed due to COVID19, but Mays’ crews were still able to complete the sitework ahead of severe winter weather in under ten weeks.
